About Heather - Health and Wellbeing Coach,
Stroud, Gloucestershire

Heather is a qualified health and wellbeing coach, life coach, and fitness coach based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, with a unique background that bridges science, storytelling, and human resilience. She holds a degree in Biology and is a published researcher, bringing a strong evidence-based foundation to her work in wellbeing coaching. Her career has also taken her around the world, working in film and wildlife documentaries, where she developed a deep understanding of both human behaviour and our relationship with the natural environment.

A Global Perspective on Health and Human Behaviour

Heather was the founding director of a conservation charity, leading impactful work focused on protecting environments and engaging communities. This experience shaped her ability to lead, communicate, and create meaningful change — skills she now brings into her coaching practice. Heather has cycled solo and unsupported from Canada to Mexico, lived and worked in multiple countries, and navigated significant personal challenges. These experiences have given her a deep understanding of resilience, adaptability, and what it truly takes to step outside your comfort zone and grow.

Lived experience to know what it takes to overcome and rebuild

After experiencing a mental health crisis herself, Heather brings not only professional expertise but also lived experience and genuine empathy to her work. This allows her to support clients in a way that is compassionate, non-judgemental, deeply understanding and grounded in real-life experience. She understands that change is not linear, and that healing and growth require both patience and the right kind of support.

A Holistic Approach to Wellbeing Coaching

After experiencing a mental health crisis herself, Heather brings not only professional expertise but also lived experience and genuine empathy to her work. This allows her to support clients in a way that is compassionate, non-judgemental, deeply understanding and grounded in real-life experience. She understands that change is not linear, and that healing and growth require both patience and the right kind of support.

Embedding Sustainable Living and Connection to Nature

Heather has a background in biology, environmental research, and hands-on conservation work, so integrates sustainability into her coaching in a way that is practical, achievable, and personally meaningful. Through her experience as Founder and Director of a conservation organisation, and her work delivering environmental and community projects across Gloucestershire, I have developed a deep understanding of how behaviour change underpins sustainable living.

In her coaching, she supports clients to build habits that are not only beneficial for their own health and wellbeing, but also for the environment. This might include reconnecting with nature, making more conscious lifestyle choices, or developing sustainable routines around food, movement, and consumption. There is a strong connection between working with nature and its resources, and wellbeing.

Having worked internationally in environmental storytelling and lived a lifestyle rooted in simplicity and resilience, Heather brings both expertise and authenticity to this work. Her approach focuses on small, realistic changes that create long-term impact — supporting clients to live in a way that is healthier, more balanced, and aligned with the world around them.
